Program Overview
The Diploma in Geomatics Engineering (formerly Survey Engineering) is a three-year program designed to produce middle-level competent technicians. The curriculum equips students with specialized skills in land surveying, engineering/construction surveying, and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). It aims to meet the national and international demand for skilled surveyors in both government and private sectors.

Entry Criteria
- SEE/SLC Pass: Minimum C Grade (2.0 GPA) in Mathematics and Science.
- English: Minimum 1.6 Grade Point.
- Alternative: Pre-diploma in a related subject with minimum 68.33%.
- Pass the entrance examination administered by CTEVT.
Examination Scheme
- Theory Pass Marks: 40% of the total theory marks.
- Practical Pass Marks: 50% of the total practical marks.
- Attendance: Minimum 90% in each subject is mandatory.
- Internal Assessment: Regular evaluation through tests and practicals.
Career Path
Graduates of this program are eligible for the position equivalent to Non-gazetted 1st class/Level 5 (technical) as prescribed by the Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog) of Nepal. They find employment in the Survey Department, Ministry of Land Management, construction companies, hydropower projects, and GIS-based organizations.
